Fanny Pellegrin (*1990) currently based in Arles, France. She joined the product design sector at the beginning of her higher education in Paris, and she moved to Switzerland to study at ECAL (École cantonale d’art de Lausanne), in the product design department. In September 2014, she moved to Japan and starts working as a project assistant at Teruhiro Yanagihara Studio in Kyoto. She will spend two years working closely with locals and craftsmen.
Recently back in France, in Arles, She developed a transversal practice, particularly during a residency at atelier Luma in 2018-2019, then pursued her research by exploring the process of creation through “narrative and territorial intimacy” (Jean-François Chevrier, Des territoires, 2011), using them as design tools to new forms and mechanisms of language. This year 2020, she joins again with Teruhiro Yanagihara , they open “VAGUE” in Arles, a research space and a studio of interior architecture and design.
